Web Services User

A Web Services user must be created in order to make API calls.
  

In Dayforce: To access this infromation navigate to System Admin > User
Properties
The Properties tab contains the main properties of a user account, including login information, preferences, and user role.

User Name: Provide a unique name and avoid spaces and special characters
Approved: In order to enable the user, this must be checked.
Password: Create a password that conforms to the password policy attached to the role.
 
Location Access
This sections determines the locations of the employees the web service role has access.

Location: Only provide the necessary locations required by the integration. Its strongly recommended to not provide organizational access to the integration when only a subset of employees / locations are required. 
Primary: This must be checked.
Start Date: We recommend using a date of 1/1/1950
 
Pay Group Admin Access
This is used to restrict which pay groups the web services user can access in Dayforce Payroll.

Pay Group: Do not provide access to all pay groups if it can be avoided. If the integration is to pull from only a subset of pay groups, we recommend adding the the pay groups in this drop-down.
Start Date: We recommend using a date of 1/1/1950
